Gryphon tends to be a framework for building applications in declarative way and independent of underlying software platform and technology. Gryphon as a framework defines basic abstractions like Application, Entity, View, Form and some else. Gryphon also provides unified API for datastore connectivity. This API is also independent of underlying technologies and may be used to communicate with relational, object, and hierarchical datastores.
At the moment Gryphon distribution package contains implementations for building applications over Swing and AWT as well as applications with command line interface. Gryphon distribution package also contains datastore connectivity API implementation for SQL-based relational databases.
Gryphon is open source and you can download compiled classes with source codes.
